Admissions to our homes
Planned placements will, wherever possible, involve a meeting between home manager/team leader and the young person being placed. Alternatively the young person may visit Turnaround. During this initial meeting the home manager will assess the young person’s suitability for the placement and also whether the young person is likely to integrate with the other young people placed at the home. This time will also give the young person the chance to ask any questions they might have about the home before they are placed. The young person will also be provided with a young people’s guide to Turnaround. This details all of the main points about the placement, including what will be expected from the young people and also what they can expect from their placement at Turnaround.
In the event of an emergency same day placement, the young people would still be introduced to the home in the same way. Ensuring that any questions they might have are answered. They would also be given a young person’s guide, detailing things they might like to know about during their stay at Turnaround.
A 72 hour planning meeting will be arranged for all young people placed at Turnaround.
