Sunnydale Farm

Sunnydale Farm, together with our other homes Orchard Farm and The Old Schoolhouse, is part of Inspiring The Next Generation Ltd., otherwise known as Turnaround. The company was founded in 1996 and we opened Sunnydale in 1997.

Sunnydale Farm offers medium to long term placements for young people from a variety of situations. We offer project based learning accredited by the national award schemes of AQA and ASDAN. Our focus is on personal and social development and acquisition of life skills.

Sunnydale Farm is registered for up to six young people, either male or female, aged at least nine and under 18. We recognise that Sunnydale Farm is larger than many other homes and as a consequence we sought and were granted planning permission in 2001 to build an additional home (the cottage) in the grounds to reduce the number of children and young people in one house. This reduces any adverse effects that may arise as the maximum number of children and young people in the Sunnydale Farmhouse, at any one time, is only four.

The cottage can also accommodate a further two young people.

This approach offers young people a chance to experience a sense of achievement and gain some perspective on their lives which can help to break any destructive cycles they may be in.
