Orchard Farm

Orchard Farm, together with our other homes Sunnydale Farm and The Old Schoolhouse, is part of Inspiring The Next Generation Ltd., otherwise known as Turnaround. The company was founded in 1996 and we opened Orchard in 2004.
Orchard Farm offers crisis and emergency, short to medium term placements and respite care to young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties from a variety of situations that have either reached a crisis point or who will benefit from time out of their usual environment. We offer diverse opportunities to enable young people to experience the great outdoors and activities including expeditions around the country, camping, climbing, kayak and canoeing or simply enjoying fun and educational activities in and around the Peak District around Orchard Farm.
Apart from the obvious health benefits, this approach offers the children and young people a chance to experience a sense of achievement, build confidence, positive and trusting relationships and gain some perspective on their lives which can help to break any destructive cycles they may be in.
Orchard farm is set in 8 acres of land and comprises of a lounge, dining room, kitchen, and utility room. As well as three young people’s rooms and bathroom, a staff bedroom, care office and outdoor equipment store.
